Orange County bosses hired 17% fewer workers last year

Now that the fog surrounding Orange County’s employment data has cleared, we can clearly see a cooler job market.
Newly revised job stats show Orange County bosses added an average 32,317 jobs last year. That hiring created a record high for employment — 1.672 million workers in November. But last year’s hiring pace was 6,820 below the previous five-year average. That’s an eye-catching 17 percent drop.
