No. 8 Mission Viejo outlasted No. 25 Trabuco Hills 7-6 in nine innings in the first game of a nonleague doubleheader at Great Park Stadium in Irvine. The teams combined for six runs over the seventh, eighth and ninth innings. Mission scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 5-4 lead, only to see Trabuco tie it in the bottom of the seventh.
