Opera star Placido Domingo tests positive for coronavirus

LOS ANGELES — Placido Domingo, who resigned as general manager of Los Angeles Opera in October, has contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, the famed opera star said today
“I feel it is my moral duty to announce to you that I have tested positive,” the 79-year-old announced Sunday on his personal Facebook page.
He added that he is in self-isolation with his family and is feeling well despite having fever and a cough.
