Officials warn beachgoers of rip currents, high surf from Hurricane Rosa
A southerly ocean swell originating from Hurricane Rosa is expected to arrive later Saturday, officials said.
Swells generated by the hurricane are expected to produce life-threatening surf and rip currents off Southern California, according to the National Weather Service.
In Los Angeles and Orange counties, surf could build up to eight feet high by late Saturday, and up to 10 feet Sunday and Monday on south-facing beaches.
