O.C. Batbusters’ miraculous run ends with dramatic loss in PGF Premier final

IRVINE The O.C. Batbusters’ gritty run to the finals of the PGF Premier 18-and-under softball championships nearly ended Friday night with a title powered by a pair of Orange County standouts.
It instead ended with a mixture of tears and reflection about a tournament journey for the ages.
Georgia Impact scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning and escaped a base-loaded jam in the seventh to rally past the Anaheim-based Batbusters 6-4 at Bill Barber Park.
