Nurses walk off the job in Los Alamitos amid contract talks

Registered nurses at Los Alamitos Medical Center and seven other Tenet Healthcare-owned facilities in California staged a one-day strike Friday, Sept. 20 to protest staffing they allege is inadequate and impacting patient care.
Employees at facilities in Modesto, San Ramon, Turlock, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Templeton and San Luis Obispo also participated. Nurses at Tenet hospitals in Arizona and Florida planned to strike the same day.
