Shortly after his team’s 10th win in 12 games, Sparks Coach Derek Fisher fielded a query in Thursday’s postgame press conference that made him pause while he formulated a careful answer.
The question: Does Nneka Ogwumike deserve consideration for WNBA MVP, and if so, could he make a case for it?
“I mean, I don’t want to be disrespectful to other players and other teams,” Fisher began, perhaps considering Washington’s Elena Delle Donne, Las Vegas’ Liz Cam
