Mountain lion, bobcat found dead from rat poison
Rat poison has killed a bobcat and a mountain lion in areas north of the Santa Monica Mountains, the National Park Service announced Thursday.
While unfortunate, it’s not uncommon for mountain lions near urbanized areas to die of such unintentional poisoning. The young male, known as P-76, is believed to have died in late January in the Santa Susana Mountains.
