More than three dozen George Floyd-inspired protests planned around region today

At least 40 protests were scheduled for today in Southern California to call for justice and condemn police tactics for the deaths of George Floyd, who died while in police custody in Minneapolis, and Breonna Taylor, who was killed during a police raid of her apartment in Louisville.
Events will begin as early as 8 a.m. with a protest at Los Angeles City Hall, 200 Spring Street and run as late as a 5 p.m. candlelight service at La Palma Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Buena Park.
