More reform needed for troubled addiction industry: Letters

Re “Reform bills advance, but critics say it’s not enough” (Sept. 2):
I’m disappointed to hear that the California Legislature has yet again blocked several reforms to fix our state’s troubled addiction treatment industry.
If Florida can enact successful reforms that have reduced abuses in its state, so can California, which is supposedly home to the most progressive legislature in the nation.
