Mayor: summer fire safety preparation for Laguna Niguel

Last month, most of us in Laguna Niguel saw and smelled the smoke from the Aliso Fire, which burned 175 acres in Wood Canyon and required the evacuation of 2,500 residents of neighboring Aliso Viejo and Laguna Beach.  While Laguna Niguel residents weren’t directly impacted, our deputy sheriffs and firefighters did respond in coordinated mutual aid that cities provide to each other.
