Mater Dei’s Kailia Utley, Aliso Niguel’s Josh Cho commit to college swimming programs

Swimmers Kailia Utley of Mater Dei and Josh Cho of Aliso Niguel — both members of the Irvine Novaquatics club — have committed to four-year universities.
Utley has committed to Vanderbilt of the Southeastern Conference while Cho has pledged to Columbia of the Ivy League.
Cho finished fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (49.89 seconds) at the CIF-SS Division 1 finals as a sophomore in 2019. He also took 10th in the butterfly with the same time.
