Mater Dei volleyball sweeps past CdM, returns to Division 1 final

NEWPORT BEACH – Playing in a CIF-SS championship match has become routine for the Mater Dei girls volleyball team.
The Monarchs on Tuesday, Nov. 7, made the short trip from Santa Ana to Corona del Mar High and swept the Sea Kings in a CIF-SS Division 1 semifinal 25-22, 25-14, 25-19.
The Monarchs (34-5), the No. 2 seed, will take on No.1 seed Marymount of Los Angeles in the final Saturday night, Nov. 11. Marlborough defeated Redondo Union in the other semifinal Tuesday.
