Mater Dei gets back on track with resounding win over JSerra

SANTA ANA – Mater Dei needed a moment of redemption and a game against JSerra on Friday night provided that opportunity.
Just two days after St. John Bosco ended the Monarchs’ 69-game league winning streak, Mater Dei boys basketball coach Gary McKnight was glad to be on the victorious side once again with a 63-38 win over the Lions.
With a sly grin on his face McKnight set the bar high for his team.
“Sixty-eight more to go,” he said.
