Master Gardener: how to determine where to plant vegetables
Q. I would like to plant a vegetable garden but most of my small yard only gets about 4 hours of sunlight. Could you could suggest vegetables that grow with the least amount of sunlight.
A. Most vegetables require at least five or six hours of sunshine per day to produce properly. However, the leafy vegetables and root crops usually perform satisfactorily in light shade.
