Q: My lawn is more weeds than grass right now. What can I do to make it look nice again?
A: Our late rains have been a real blessing for our drought troubles, but they have also allowed the weeds to flourish more than usual.
There are three types of weeds: annual, biennial, and perennial. Annual weeds, such as spurges, knotweed, and burclover, live for one season and usually reproduce by seed. If you can remove annual weeds before they flower and form seeds, you can limit their spread.
