Master Gardener: Fertilizing geraniums, yay or nay?

Q: A master gardener friend of mine just told me not to fertilize my geraniums and just water when the soil surface is dry.  Would you agree with her?
A: Well, it depends on whether you’d like your geranium to be six or more feet across and four feet tall.
Most geraniums are quite easy to grow and don’t require more than consistent watering. They may look innocent enough when you buy them in a little pot, but once they’re in the ground and receiving plenty of sunshine and
