Manning in control as Capistrano Valley cruises past Valencia

MISSION VIEJO – Capistrano Valley started the season right against Valencia for the second consecutive year, surging to a sizable early lead before cruising to a 38-7 victory Friday night at Capistrano Valley High.
Capistrano Valley junior quarterback Nathan Manning threw four of his five touchdown passes in the first half and finished 24 of 38 for 301 yards and one interception.
