Man with DUI history charged with murder for fatal crash in Costa Mesa

SANTA ANA — A twice-convicted drunken driver was charged with murder Tuesday for a fatal collision in Costa Mesa.
Jose Santos Alejandretorres was charged with second-degree murder, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of .08% or more causing injury, all felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.
