Man in critical condition after Fullerton shooting

FULLERTON A 24-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot in downtown Fullerton by a suspect who he believed tried to rob him, police said.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, two male suspects in a car approached the victim, who was walking near Malden and Santa Fe avenues, Fullerton Lt. Mike Chlebowski said. One suspect exited the car and a struggle ensued. The suspect shot the man, wounding him in the chest.
