Man gets prison for 2012 Anaheim shooting death

A 25-year-old man who gunned another man down on an Anaheim street was sentenced Friday to 40-years-to-life in prison.
Ismael Avalos was convicted last year of second-degree murder after jurors determined that he killed Angel Rivera in 2012 not as part of a gang war but because of a longstanding personal beef between the two then-teenagers.
Co-defendant George Galvan, who prosecutors alleged acted as a getaway driver after the shooting, was acquitted by the jury.
