Man dies after struck by car while crossing Tustin street

A man died Tuesday morning after getting hit by a car while crossing Red Hill Avenue in Tustin, police said.
He was outside of a crosswalk just south of San Juan Street, Tustin police Lt. Andrew Birozy said.
The man, described by police as elderly, was found by officers and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 6:20 a.m. incident.
The driver of a blue Toyota SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, Birozy
