Make sure your offer doesn’t have too many ‘outs’ – or too few
One area of negotiation between home sellers and buyers is the length of time given to remove contingencies.
The Residential Purchase Agreement, created and continuously improved by the fleet of legal experts at the California Association of Realtors, stipulates a number of buyer contingencies.
For example, the purchase agreement stipulates the number of days to remove each of these contingencies, starting the day after acceptance of either the purchase agreement or the last counteroffer.
