Make rules for access to police body-cam recordings public

A simple bill requiring transparency in public access to police body-camera recordings is sailing through the state Legislature — and should continue to do so.
Assembly Bill 748, by Assemblyman Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, has won unanimous approval from the Public Safety and Judiciary committees, sending it on to the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
