Magnitude-4.0 earthquake hits near SoFi Stadium, shakes Southern California awake

A magnitude-4.0 earthquake hit the Hollywood Park area of Inglewood — the location of the new SoFi Stadium — at 4:44 a.m. Monday and was felt across Southern California, shaking many residents awake with a sharp jolt.
The US Geological Survey said the quake was 1.2 miles east-northeast of Lennox, placing it in Inglewood on the southern edge of the Hollywood Park property that houses SoFi Stadium.
The quake’s depth was listed at 12.4 miles.
