Long Beach State will rename Blair Field after major donation

Long Beach’s most iconic sports facility is getting a major facelift, and a name change as well. Blair Field was constructed in 1958 with public funds and is currently being leased to Long Beach State by the city in exchange for the university making upgrades to the historic baseball field.
Those upgrades will be easier to make after a $5 million donation from longtime booster Marilyn Bohl.
