Long Beach State to host NCAA regional; Cal State Fullerton, UCLA await pairings

Baseball teams from Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton and UCLA on Monday morning will collectively be glued to television sets to watch the NCAA playoff pairings show at 9 a.m. on ESPN2.
Big West Conference champion Long Beach already knows it will host one of the 16 four-team regionals as was announced Sunday night. But it won’t know anything else until Monday, and Fullerton and UCLA will have to wait until then to find out if they get at-large bids into the tournament.
