Long Beach State Dirtbags hoping for return to form

The Dirtbags are facing an unfamiliar situation: For the first time since Troy Buckley took over as head coach in 2011, Long Beach State is coming off a losing season.
A year after winning the Big West and making the Super Regional, the Dirtbags went 27-30 last season, finishing fifth in conference and failing to make the College World Series.
Granted, Long Beach State wasn’t dealt a good hand last year. In fact, you could describe the cards as bent, folded and worn out.
