Long Beach reports first death from coronavirus, 19 total cases
A Long Beach woman has died from the novel coronavirus, the first death in the city, public health officials have reported.
A woman in her 50s, with underlying medical conditions, died from “complications of COVID-19,” the city said in a Monday afternoon, March 23, statement. She was a Long Beach resident.
The city also upped the total number of positive coronavirus cases to 19.
