LI construction employment rises in May

The number of construction jobs on Long Island rose slightly in May as compared with a year ago, according to the latest report from the Associated General Contractors of America . Between May 2015 and May 2016, Nassau and Suffolk counties gained about 1,300 construction jobs, a 2 percent increase for a current total of about 76,900 people employed in construction here.
