Letters: Build more jails
Hardly a day goes by that the Register doesn’t run a story focusing directly or indirectly on the so-called “prison overcrowding” problem. The slant is always that we have too many people locked up and that the justice system is unfair. A common-sense reality check dictates that the solution to the so-called overcrowding problem is to build as many new jails as it takes to keep the criminal class off the streets.
