Latest phase of the 5 Freeway widening project completed in Norwalk

Another milestone in the ongoing widening of the 5 Freeway was completed Wednesday: Caltrans opened a new Norwalk Boulevard off-ramp from the northbound side of the freeway.
The off-ramp was closed for about four months while it was reconstructed in conjunction with repaving lanes on the northbound side of the freeway, Marc Bischoff, Caltrans spokesman, said.
