Lakers hiring Frank Vogel as next head coach, Jason Kidd as an assistant

After a monthlong search, the Lakers have agreed in principle to hire Frank Vogel as their next head coach.
A team source confirmed that Vogel, a former head coach of the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic, had come to terms with the team after a Thursday interview with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka. The 45-year-old will become the fifth head coach in the organization in the past eight years.
The New Jersey native replaces Luke Walton (98-148 record), who parted ways on April 12 with the team
