Lake Forest approves $990,232 contract for consultant to help guide development 22 years out

LAKE FOREST — The City Council voted 4-1 to award a $990,232 contract to De Novo Planning Group to work as a consultant for the city’s General Plan Update for 2040.
The General Plan update is the first for the city since the existing General Plan was adopted in 1994, shortly after the city’s incorporation in 1991. California cities are required by law to have a comprehensive, long-term general plan to guide in the physical development of the city, a staff report said.
