Lake Elsinore poppy fields draw crowds again – and at least one proposal
Despite a foggy start and new traffic control rules, thousands of people from throughout Southern California are piling out of shuttlebuses and onto the Lake Elsinore trail to the poppy superbloom.
So far, visitors and officials say, the road restrictions seem to be working – the crowds are under control.
And after last Sunday’s problems, when 100,00 people overwhelmed Lake Elsinore and officials shut the viewing area down, people seem upbeat.
