Laid-off, furloughed LAX concession workers get extended healthcare coverage
Los Angeles International Airport officials have voted to provide two additional months of healthcare coverage for thousands of concession workers who have been laid off, furloughed or had their hours reduced due to the coronavirus pandemic since March 1.
Concession businesses at the airport seeking rent relief as the result of the severe downturn in travel would need to meet the new requirement to receive relief from the city.
