Laguna Woods Village co-op board OKs species-based tree-trimming

The species-based tree trimming policy will now be the standard for landscaping in United Mutual, as the board on Tuesday, Feb. 11, voted in its favor.
This maintenance method will use growth rates as indicators for trim cycles, a Village Management Services report stated. Both the board and staff agreed it to be a time-efficient alternative to case-by-case inspections for overgrowth, damage and disease.
