Laguna Woods condo board greenlights LED-conversion project for streetlights

The future is looking bright for Third Mutual as the board on Tuesday, Dec. 17, unanimously authorized a project that would increase the effectiveness of the mutual’s street lighting.
The LED Conversion Project, recommended by contractor Siemens, will convert 759 street light fixtures from high-pressure sodium technology to light-emitting diode models, or LEDs, throughout the mutual, according to a Village Management Services staff report.
