Laguna Beach city manager to be considered for 5% ‘exceptional performance pay’

LAGUNA BEACH — A 5% “exceptional performance pay” raise for City Manager John Pietig and the hiring of a full-time city arborist are among final considerations as the Laguna Beach City Council moves to adopt its two-year budget.
The City Council on Tuesday, June 18, is slated to review additions to estimated city expenditures over the next two years. The budget for 2019-20 is expected to be about $103.6 million — up nearly 7% from the $97 million budget approved last year
