LAFC ready for double duty vs. Portland Timbers

A pair of matches pitting the same teams on the same field over the next four days could go a long way in determining whether the Los Angles Football Club hoists a trophy in its inaugural season.
The stout Portland Timbers, unbeaten in their previous 13 contests, visit the Banc of California Stadium for the first time Sunday to complete the home-and-away regular season MLS series with LAFC before facing off again with the host Black & Gold in a U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match Wednesday.
