La Pata widening is on target for completion in April, county says

As 2018 approaches, Orange County Public Works is inching closer to completing a long-awaited $127 million Avenida La Pata construction project designed to improve travel through the south county.
Work began in 2014 on the three-phased project. The first phase, construction of a road link between San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente, opened in 2016. Then the county extended Camino del Rio to La Pata to provide another route to and from I-5, via Camino de los Mares. It opened in July.
