Kings may have already made their biggest trades as NHL deadline approaches

With the NHL’s trade deadline Monday, the Kings and their general manager Rob Blake expect to be fielding calls and making inquiries up until the noon Pacific cutoff time for trades.
“(Teams) tend to wait to make sure if they’re completely in (the playoffs) if they’re going to give up assets,” Blake said in a phone call earlier this month, adding that the accumulation of cap space for prorated salaries was also a factor in trades materializing near the last moment.
