Kings lose goalie Jonathan Quick to torn meniscus

EL SEGUNDO — Just one day after Kings coach John Stevens said goalie Jonathan Quick was more than day-to-day but not expected to be out long term, the Kings on Wednesday afternoon announced Quick is out indefinitely after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee.
Quick played the first game of the season, then went on injured reserve and sat out the next five games with what was labeled a lower-body injury.
