Kings fire John Stevens as coach, name Willie Desjardins as interim replacement

The Kings, holders of one of the two worst records in the NHL this season, have fired John Stevens as coach and named Willie Desjardins as his interim replacement.
Desjardins served as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks for three seasons (from 2014-17), and was associate head coach with the Dallas Stars for two seasons (2010-12).
Don Nachbaur, who joined the Kings as an assistant coach prior to last season, has also been relieved of his duties.
The dismissals come the day after Saturday’s
