Kings edge Blackhawks in overtime battle

It wasn’t quite an alumni game but two franchises with faded glory and a combined 14 players 30 years or older faced off Saturday when the Kings beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 at Staples Center.
The two teams ruled the West in the first half of this decade but found themselves clawing out of a tie for last place in the conference Saturday amid a youth movement across the NHL. They recaptured a bit of their magic in a contest that went deep into overtime.
