Kings dominated by struggling Blues, lose big

LOS ANGELES – It was only a month ago that the St. Louis Blues were 14 games over .500 and contending well for a playoff berth. But they entered their game Saturday against the Kings having lost nine of their previous 10 games, two in overtime.
That didn’t seem to matter because the Blues took advantage of poor defensive play and defeated the Kings 7-2 before a very unhappy sellout crowd of 18,230 at Staples Center.
