Katella hands Anaheim first loss on late drive by Mack

Katella’s girls basketball team offered a significant change Tuesday night to the script in the Orange League race.
Point guard Elena Mack made a driving shot in the paint with about 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift the host Knights to a 38-36 victory and hand improved Anaheim its first defeat.
The Colonists (9-1, 1-1), ranked third in CIF-SS Division 5-AA, followed by taking a 3-pointer but Katella (5-8, 1-0) secured the rebound and celebrated.
