JT Daniels continues to command attention in USC quarterback competition

LOS ANGELES — JT Daniels has been in USC’s quarterback competition for two weeks of preseason training camp and delivered a stream of eye-popping passes.
The latest was Wednesday.
Late in an 11-on-11 drill in practice, Daniels floated a pass about 35 yards downfield toward the goal line. Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns, draped by a defensive back, leaped in the air to catch it, then fell into the end zone for a touchdown.
