Job fair on Friday seeks ‘thousands’ of 2020 Census count takers

The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to fill thousands of part-time positions for the 2020 Census count, and a hiring event will be held Friday in Commerce.
The  2020 Census Applicant Appreciation Event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 2020 Census Office at 6013 Randolph St. in Commerce. The agency plans to hire temporary census takers, office personnel and other positions. In the Los Angeles area, the pay will range from $21 to $23 an hour for supervisory and non-supervisory jobs.
