Jefferson-led Pacifica refuses to be stopped, charges past Whittier

GARDEN GROVE – Entering Friday evening’s CIF-SS Division 10 first-round playoff game, Whittier coach Visko Ancich said his team needed to stop or slow down Pacifica quarterback Ben Jefferson if the Cardinals were going to win.
Whittier was unable to do either as Jefferson rushed for 215 yards, ran for two touchdowns, threw a TD pass and guided the Mariners to a 57-21 victory over the Cardinals.
